Originally from New York, Dr. Cona received his Medical Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Turin School of Medicine. After moving to the Cayman Islands nearly 30 years ago, he established multiple active practices serving the community.
Louis A. Cona, MD, has a distinguished career focusing primarily on general practice and family medicine. Dr. Cona is a well-recognized member of the British Medical Association, the General Medical Council (UK), the Caribbean College of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. His credentials also include certification by the American Academy of Aesthetic Practitioners and membership in the World Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (WAAAM).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cona contributes to medical education as an associate professor at St. Matthews School of Medicine. He holds several leadership roles, including Deputy Chair of the Health Practice Commission Cayman Islands Government, past chairman of the Medical + Dental Council of the Cayman Islands, and Medical Director of the Strand Medical Centre. He has also served as the past president of the Cayman Islands Medical & Dental Society.
